Voorheen een andere tandarts gehad, mijn ( wijlen) vrouw had tandarts menger al jaren, ik besloot om eens mee te gaan na een consult. Natuurlijk was het destijds handiger een tandarts te hebben voor heel ons gezin en dus besloten om " over te stapoen van tandarrs" Het is een zeer goede tandarts die je gerust stelt en zeer goed zijn vak verstaat ! Ik ben zo blij dat ik met mijn 2 zonen destijds de " overstap" heb gemaakt naar hem, niks dan lof over tandarts menger, altijd goed " gezind " en je word er uitstekend door geholpen, kortom Toppie !

The worst treatment I have ever received from any healthcare-related practitioner. Last year I had a big tooth decay, and I went here for a checkup. The decay was bad and he gave me anesthesia and filled up the whole. In total I was charged around 104 EUR (I can bring up the bill to check again if needed). I sent the bill to the insurance and the insurance wanted proof that this procedure is not regular teeth cleansing and is of necessity, before I could get my money back. However, afterwards I got extreme pain, so I came back to check up and asked him if he can confirm to the insurance that this is necessary. It is basically a sentence of confirmation, not so much effort. He told me of course the treatment was necessary. but he's not gonna sign or write anything to the insurance. He said something along the line of: "Oh, so do you want me to lie to the insurance?" (when it is of course not a lie, just a simple sentence) "You international students are always the ones with trouble, you came here with a hole in your teeth so my job is to fill it and I did not know anything else, those [insurance] are not my job". I was pretty intimidated and felt unsupported. I tried to tell him this is not lying, I just needed him to confirm the question from the insurance so I could get my money back, this is a very big amount of money for an international student like me. Finally, he sent me home saying that I can send him an email of what the insurance asked and he might be able to help. So I went home and sent him the email. I have never received any response. As for how the tooth decay went, I had to go back to my country because I was pretty traumatized by my experience here. I did not want to do any treatment here thinking it is too expensive and the dentist won't help with confirming to the insurance, and my teeth actually got worse and worse. I took online classes and went to the National Hospital of Dentistry in my country and had to do a root canal treatment there. I am only able to write this review now when I told my friend the story and they encouraged me to speak up. I hope this can be a good advice for international students: bring a form to your dentist and check if they can help you with confirming insurance before doing any procedure (especially when we're just students who live on so little cash). This is a long shot, but I also hope after this the dentist will contact me to finally give the confirmation to the insurance so I can get my insurance money back. Maybe then I can change my reviews of them. Edit: I still did not get my insurance money back :(
