Nothing hidden behind stars.

We show you exactly where our reviews come from, how we check them and what happens when something is wrong. No seal. Just the real process.

The beginningTwo people, a kitchen table, a lot of frustration

reviewfinder is not an investor idea from the drawing board, but grew out of a very concrete annoyance.

"

We were tired of searching Google Maps for reviews – we wanted authentic, honest results.

Norman Dilthey & Lars Hermes, founders of reviewfinder

In 2023, Norman Dilthey and Lars Hermes sat there one evening trying to find a trustworthy company via Google Maps – and scrolled through contradictory star ratings and reviews where it was never quite clear whether they were genuine. That evening turned into reviewfinder: all of a company’s reviews in one place, verified with the original source stated, unfiltered – positive and critical voices alike.

MethodologyHow a review comes about

Every profile bundles several sources: Google, Booking.com, Airbnb – and reviews submitted directly to reviewfinder. Each source stays individually visible.

Submitted directly to reviewfinder: 5 verification steps

Photo, video or voice proof

Real proof of the visit or service is mandatory – as a photo, video or voice message.

AI photo analysis

Checks whether the image matches the place instead of being recycled.

AI pattern detection

Detects conspicuous clusters and recurring text.

Email verification

Confirmation link sent to the address provided.

Manual spot check

A team member checks whether text and photo match each other.

Only after these steps does a review carry the label „Verified on site“.

Taken from Google, Booking.com & Airbnb

We take over these reviews unchanged – we do not shorten, edit or create anything in the name of the source. Each one links back to the original, so anyone can check it themselves. The verification depth of the respective platform remains in place; we do not replace it with our own.

What „100% verified sources“ really means

This refers to the platforms we integrate – exclusively established, publicly verifiable review portals, no anonymous third parties. It does not mean that every external individual review was additionally checked by us – that would not even be feasible with external platforms. What we guarantee instead: correct attribution, unchanged adoption, back-linking to the source.

Update rhythm: no blanket promise – every profile shows the date of the last update per source individually.

IndependenceListing and looking better

A listing brings complete contact details, a backlink, a direct Maps link, the ability to respond to reviews, review management, the ability to edit texts, Google visibility optimization and the label as a verified profile. It has no influence on the displayed reviews or star ratings. These come unchanged from the original sources. reviewfinder does not create, change or remove reviews on behalf of a company. A better rating cannot be bought from us.

Error cultureWhen something is wrong

No hidden fine print – one active channel through which new profiles also come about.

Wrong address, incorrectly assigned review, spotted a suspicious fake review? Report it via the contact form on List your company or by email. Reply usually within 24 hours.

For companiesClear rules, no exceptions

✓ Allowed

  • Invite real customers to leave a review
  • Have incorrect details corrected
  • Reply publicly to reviews

✗ Not allowed

  • Buying reviews or requesting them in exchange for benefits
  • Demanding removal of a genuine, negative review
  • Submitting third-party or fabricated reviews

A review is only removed on proven violation – never because it turns out negative.

QuestionsAnswered briefly and honestly

What does „100% verified sources“ mean?

Via the contact form on „List your company“ or by email. Reply usually within 24 hours.
