A bit difficult to see it off the road but overall it is so serene, quiet and beautiful. Hermien and the housekeeping lady's welcome is so appreciated. Oh and the breakfast devine, Lekker and filling.
So ein schönes, ruhiges Ferienhaus / Cottage inmitten einer Apfelfarm! Wir hatten leider nur für 2 Nächte gebucht, hier wären wir gerne länger geblieben. Äußerst herzlicher Empfang, auf Wunsch zusätzlich gebuchtes Frühstück war auch problemlos möglich - und dann noch so ein herrliches, gemütliches und großes Haus. Direkt von der Terrasse an den Zinmmern kann man in den Teich zum Schwimmen hinuntergehen - ein wahrer Genuss. Wir kommen sicher wieder

I really appreciated the excellent management and everything was so well taken care of. It made our trip truly enjoyable. From the milk in the fridge and the open of the kitchen for us to use. Nice place to get away for a few days. The manager, Allan, is an excellent host. Situated next to an apple orchard which is open to residents of the lodge. Nice tranquil setting to just unwind. Next to the N2 so you do get some road noise.
Volvería a repetir mi estancia en este alojamiento una y mil veces. Alan hace que te sientas en casa, es un anfitrión maravilloso: atento y con buena conversación. La habitación es súper cómoda, todo está muy limpio y los alrededores son maravillosos. Echaré de menos el desayuno en el jardín :)
Lovely place. We only stayed on night for a wedding, but I would have loved to visit for a LOT longer. Stunning views, modern, clean rooms with everything you need, and Alan is so hospitable. EXCEPTIONAL breakfast service. Will be back!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful and tranquil environment. This is a place where you will definitely find peace for your soul. Everything is of very high standard. You wouldn't get a more friendly, welcoming and helpful host than Alan. Our stay was just too short. Definitely want to be back in the future. Went back 2 times after our 1st visit 2 years ago and will definitely return in future!

We stayed in the cottage overlooking the dam. The setting and view was amazing. The frogs serenaded every night. We spent all our time sitting on the verandah enjoying the view.
My wife and I were welcomed by a very friendly Alan who made us feel so at home! The room was lovely with a world class view on to the vineyards and mountains. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back.

We had to attend a wedding nearby and our mom stayed at ECL the past weekend and what a place!! Allen, her host was a very accommodating person. He kept us in the loop regarding load shedding, power cuts and he was like one of the family. Thanks again for your support and willingness to assist where needed. In short - the views and the rooms are out of the books!! Will visit again.

What a gem. Sadly we only stayed one night. Bed was super comfy. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Alan & Tilly are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Plug points with USB ports which is such a win. A must visit... 👌
We were delighted to find this gem in the Elgin Valley. Alan, the host, made us feel very welcome and the location, while close to the main road, is very centrally located and not too far from Cape Town. Great views and a wonderful place to visit. We had 3 rooms, the best which our room located upstairs that was a great place to just sit and enjoy the view while sipping some wonderful wines from the region. Reminded us a little of Sonoma Valley back 30 years ago. Friendly people, terrific wines, and some great dining options for lunch in the area. We were ready to move in.

Absolutely loved this place! Was a last minute booking for 1 night and we thoroughly loved staying in the old converted farmhouse, the room was generous in size, so is the bathroom, and all the amenities and creature comforts you've come to expect of a top establishment. The farmhouse is set on a stunning apple orchard and there are beautiful walks around the place as well. The continental breakfast was just enough, served with fresh fruit, cheese, cold meats andd much more including delicious coffee. It's a must visit again place.
