We were touring the Winelands and got to Paul Wallace Wines as it was recommended by a nearby winery. We are so glad we followed it up. A fantastic location with an equally fantastic story and end product. Paul very kindly ran a tasting for us (we had no booking and just pitched up on his drive - so he could have taken a different approach). The story of the wines and the challenges of what he was trying to achieve made the whole thing so immediate. Drinking a glass of Black Dog malbec with "the" black dog at my feet will be an experience I'll remember forever. .. a lovely man, an incredible wine and real highlight of our SA trip. I can't recommend this enough, but please give the man a chance and book.

Paul and Nicky were amazing hosts and their farm and cottages are beautiful and very inviting. Beautiful views and walks along the farm. A must visit. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beautiful wine farm in the Elgin Valley. Great Malbec and Chardonnay. Was definitely worth the drive

A very beautiful and peaceful setting, the cottage had a well equipped kitchen, BBQ and comfy beds. Both Nicky & Paul were on hand to welcome us and of course, all the lovely dogs, especially Benji who took us on a walk around the farm. Very handily situated for Elgin’s many markets, with a number of other local restaurants if you don’t want to stay indoors.

Nicky, Paul & their son Bobby were exceptional hosts. They treated us so kindly and spoilt us with a free wine tasting for my partner's birthday. Bobby ran the wine tasting really well giving us a lot of information about their family, farm and how their wine is produced. A lot of passion goes into their wine making and guest hosting and one is made to feel very welcomed and at home on the property. I could not recommend them enough and can't wait to go back and visit again! The farm itself is absolutely stunning in every direction and the cottages are fully equipped for self-catering visits.

I did not stay over, but tasted the wine and had such good conversations with the hosts. Really a gem to visit!

Had a great stay! Gorgeous cottage.Very comfy king size bed. Kitchen extremely well equipped. Great wines and lovely tasting room too. All in all a very comfortable stay...and would highly recommend!!! Friendly and attentive hosts!!

Magnificent representation of cool climate wines, great experience. Paul, Nicky and Bobby really know how to make you feel welcome and part pf the family. Accommodation is neat, quiet and well located to explore the Elgin wine region.

Thank Nicky and Paul Wallace for the best, most informative wine tasting we've had. Felt thoroughly spoiled to have the owner all to ourselves. The wines are delectable and the view breathtaking. Each wine had an interesting story and we learned that there is so much more to wine making than one would assume. It's also not too far from Cape Town to drive out to visit them specifically. Wine tastings are by appointment, but well worth the time and effort. Paul and his family are lovely people who make you feel very welcome

Absolutely amazing view and my best and most eclusive wine tasting experience with the wine maker explaining each delectable wine in detail, I will drive a long way to visit here again!

Wonderful accommodation on a beautiful wine farm, in a little slice of heaven. Worked so well for us (family with a baby), and hope to return again.

One of my favourite places to stay in Elgin. The hosts are warm and friendly. The views are relaxing. The cottages have everything you need to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Lovely place, great hosts. But don’t go here if you don’t like dogs or are allergic to dogs. The dogs are everywhere, they go inside and they don’t let you enjoy your meal.

Great value for money accommodation in Elgin. WiFi works well, cottage stocked with all the requirements for an overnight stay!

Feels like home were Paul & Nicky (and all the dogs) greet you like family and goes beyond the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Great facility and accommodation & most definitely the place to do your Elgin cool climate wine tasting... With a chocolate pairing!
