Our stay at Aloe Cottage was absolutely wonderful. It was perfect in every way. The cottage itself is beautiful and well-appointed with everything you need. It is on a stunning property with beautiful gardens and covered parking. The location is very peaceful, private and secure with lovely places to walk or run. Our hostes, Maya, was charming, helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating with our late arrival and departure. We look forward to returning. PS:The internet is better than we have at home!

The Agapanthus cottage was lovely, well laid out and very comfortable. The hostess was so welcoming and very kind.

We had a truly lovely time here. The garden is beautiful, peaceful, and so relaxing. Our little girl especially enjoyed the garden, as well as the squirrels and birds that visited so often. Maya was a wonderful host—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help make our stay comfortable. The thoughtful little extras, like ice and cold sparkling water in the fridge, homemade beskuit, koekies, and fresh apples, were deeply appreciated and made us feel so welcome. We will be back!

Aloe and Agapanthus Cottages zijn een waar paradijs om te verblijven. Ik kom hier intussen al 3 jaar op rij steeds voor 4 maanden. Het is mijn tweede thuis geworden. Ook mijn ouders en enkele vrienden verbleven hier al. Er is een tussendeur waardoor je gemakkelijk samen kan verblijven maar die ook afgesloten kan worden als je slechts 1 cottage huurt. De cottages hebben ook een prachtige tuin en de eigenaars gunnen je alle privacy. Maar als je een probleem hebt, staan ze ook meteen klaar om je te helpen waar ze kunnen. Je voelt je meteen thuis. Binnen in de cottages is alle comfort aanwezig en als er toch iets zou ontbreken, kan je het altijd vragen. Maya en Jean-Pierre doen heel veel moeite om alles naar jouw wens te maken. Dit is de perfecte uitvalsbasis als je van rust en natuur houdt. Vanaf Trail's End Bikehotel (1 km verder) kan je ontelbare prachtige wandelingen maken en ook een verscheidenheid aan mtb-trails vertrekt van hieruit. Daguitstapjes naar Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Hermanus, Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay, etc zijn van hieruit makkelijk haalbaar, alsook een bezoekje aan de vele bekende winefarms van Elgin Valley. En ook op de plaatselijke Railway Markt valt in het weekend altijd wat te beleven. Klipkop-Estate is bovendien een veilige buurt met aparte bewaking voor deze doodlopende lus, waar enkel plaatselijke bewoners passeren. Een echte aanrader !!

Spacious cottage in the klipkop neighbourhood perfect for our family members that were visiting the area. I would highly recommend the space for a quiet getaway in the Grabouw or Elgin area. Thanks Maya and JP, I will definitely make use of the space again.

Beautiful place to relax and unwind

I went for work so it wasn’t a place I could enjoy myself but my 2 year old and nanny were able to explore. It was very kid friendly and spacious for my very busy girl to explore safely!
